Most guests found the cottage to be clean and well-maintained, with only a few isolated comments about specific cleanliness issues. Overall, the high standard of cleanliness contributed positively to the guests' experiences.

The cottage's location in the village of Staindrop is highly regarded for its beauty and convenience, with easy access to local walks and attractions. The peaceful setting is a standout feature, despite occasional mentions of a busy nearby road.

Guests frequently describe the cottage as cosy and comfortable, with comfortable beds and a homely atmosphere. The log burner adds to the comfort, although there were minor concerns about window functionality and garden security for pets.

As your eyes grow heavy, climb the stairs to the first floor to catch your rest in one of two well-presented bedrooms, a double and a twin. In the morning, indulge in a soothing soak or refreshing rinse in the shower, before whipping up morning coffees to savour in the front courtyard as you watch the world go by. Staindrop's broad village green is surrounded by a variety of fascinating businesses, taverns, and cafes. It was just myself and my husband with 1 little dog and the weather was perfect so was able to sit outside in the garden. This cottage is only small so anymore than 3 people in it i think you would be on top of each other. But we loved it. Beds were very comfortable, plenty of room to cook in the kitchen and very close to the shop, pub and bus stops. there was a welcome pack, which was very much appreciated. Thanks again Mike

I would have liked a hoover designated for the property and not shared with next door as I like to ensure a property is clean when I leave. Lovely location, walks form the door, a great spot for exploring the area, thoroughly recommend.

Lovely cottage but as above . Lovely sofas but not a lot of space when switched television off it kept coming back on . Kitchen adequate for 2. I must complain about the oven please take a look sorry to say but it was filthy hadn’t been cleaned for a long time so didn’t use it . One casserole dish I picked up and broke in my hand full of cracks .
