Ystrad Wen lies in the heart of some of the most unspoilt scenery in Wales, you are surrounded by traditional hay meadows and areas of woodland, parkland and wet pasture leading down to the banks of the River Wye. The Cambrian Mountains are the undiscovered heart of Wales, an area of outstanding natural beauty which offers wild empty spaces, from woodland walks to the more challenging routes that take you into the vast moorlands, one of the least visited spots in Wales you can feel that you have the place to yourself. For star gazers you must visit the Elan Valley Estate, an International Dark Sky Park, made up of 6 Dark Sky Discovery Sites and the perfect place to see the night skies at their best. Ystrad Wen is the perfect place to escape to. Note: This property can be booked with Ref. 1128627, sleeping up to 6 guests.

The owners made sure we arrived safely and if we needed anything else which was really kind however the way the Cottage was set up nothing else was needed. If I could put more stars I would however they only ask out of 5*. Will definatly planning on coming back to this property!! Definitely suggest the Red kite feeding as was spectacular site to see.

The dogs loved it, and the beautiful scenery provided amazing views and the soothing sounds of nature. The bath and shower facilities were outstanding—so clean and well-maintained, also the hot tub was a great delight after long walks ,it was impressive. I accidentally left a personal item behind, and the kind staff promptly posted it back to me upon request, which I really appreciated. The area is stunning and secluded, making it a very romantic getaway. We fully enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat. We were even treated to a surprise bottle of wine for my husband’s birthday from the owners ☺️ We will definitely be back and would recommend this cabin to anyone wanting a complete escape from the norm. Thanks for such a memorable time away xx
